New MOVITS video finally out and complete

February 23rd, 2011

Shot in Stockholm in late November. Big thanks to the team and the MOVITS! guys. Johan the vocalist actually did a lot of the post production himself when we ran out of time approaching deadline.

I can also mention that the “plates” hanging behind MOVITS! was designed by Jenny Nordmark. When you stand at a certain point right in front of the plates at exactly the right distance; it is a perfect solid black square. It’s called tromp l’euil (trick the eye). Anyways, this effect demanded that the plates where mounted in exactly the right way for it to work. This proved to be a very tedious work. We ended up spending the whole night and morning before we finished at around 8.30. Just in time for the crew and artists to show up. So I was pretty beat but ones you get going it doesnt matter.

It ended up looking great.

So enjoy.

Finally!

November 8th, 2010

Raised Fist – Wounds

I have turned of the comment function in my blog due to the massive amounts of spam that landed in my inbox. But send me an email or you can reach me on Facebook if you have anything to say;)

Quick update.

October 2nd, 2010

Well it’s been months since I last updated this blog. Sorry about that. But now that autumn is well under way I’ll try to update more often.

Short update: Summer was awsome. Joined MOVITS! on their UK Tour in June. I’ll post some pics and vids later on. But it was a blast. After that I’ve mostly done film and tv-series where I’m not directing. Mostly done lighting stuff.

Neither Raised fist – wounds nor Pajala truck co has been released yet. That will happen soon I hope.

Also I’ve started studying economy in Gothenburg buisness shool this fall. So for the next 3-5 years I’ll be here. My plan is to replace all the feature-work for school but keep on directing videos, commercials and short. As long as there is time.

We’re making a commercial for the magazine “Bike” hopefully next weekend with my mate Johan Hannu.

After that my friends is something I’ve been waiting for for a long time. Brand new MOVITS! singles are to be released next year. That means new videos. I can’t reveal much at this moments but their new material is spectacular!

Thats all for now. But check out Zacke’s new video:

Zacke – konsten att släppa taget

Made by my friend Amin and shot by Daniel Kask. Really good stuff.

Pajala Truck Co

June 15th, 2010

I returned to Stockholm yesterday after a week in wonderful Norrbotten. I directed a video for a band called Pajala Truck Co. It has been an awesome week. We did a reckie on tuesday for locations for the exteriors in a small town called Pajala (hence the namen of the band) We vidited the top spots during midnight sun. Even though i am from Norrbotten i was awestruck. The light up there is simply stunning. We ended up shooting the entire intro for the video in one of the worlds biggest “slåttermyr”. It’s basically wetlands where farmers harvested crops for their cettle. Nowadays the production has ceased but all the barns remain in good shape. It’s one of those places you have to vivist if you ever find your way to Norrbotten.

We shot the interiors in a garage in Luleå. It’s gonna be great. Our main actor Bror was a true hero. Long days, challenging choreography and little clothes. Still his acting was top notch.

Here are som pics from Pajala.

No I’m of to London for a week with Movits! More vacation than work, but I deserve it;)

Johan Hannu was DoP in Pajala and Alexander was Directing Assistant. They truly rock. Thanks for everything guys.

This is the main actor Bror. Boy can he dance.

Vassikavouma. This picture is taken 1 am. It never goes dark here in summer.

Adiam video.

June 2nd, 2010

Adiam’s new video is just released. She’s just lovley. And behind the camera, a superpair in action; Mattias Montero directed and Fredrik Bäckar was D.o.p. And last but not least; yours truly was the gaffer. It was a long shoot but a really great team= loads of fun. Pretty sweet Check it out

Addeboy vs Cliff!!

May 25th, 2010

Yesterday the single and video for Addeboy vs Cliff feat Adam Tensta & Eboi’s new track Sinner was finally released. Check it out!

This the first video I’ve done where I’m not really sure whether I’m proud or ashamed of it. It’s definitely not a disaster it just leaves me with a weird feeling.

I really like the original concept. We made it with a lot of wide static shots and let the image speak for it self. I wanted to see if I could make a video interesting without fast editing, explosive camera-movment and dramatic lighting. The farther you get in the story the more we loose this concept however.

I like the first half where our dear rabbit friend wakes up, finds the house, finds the liquor etc. All the way up until meeting his beloved girl;) Then it sort of spaces out a bit and looses form. (that was the time during the shoot when we ran out of time and had to come up with faster solutions then and there)
But it might as well have been much to static and boring had we managed to keep the original plan the whole video through. Although it would have left me with a greater feeling of satisfaction towards my own accomplishment.

But hey naked man-butts still crack me up.

Wow. Longest post so far. It sort of poured out. Hope you like the vid. And please give me your thoughts if you have any.

An image says more than words.

April 30th, 2010

Well. Here are a bunch of pics from my two latest Video Shoots. The rabbit is from Addeboy vs Cliff feat Adam Tensta & Eboi. The rest are from Raised Fist “wounds”. Both videos are waiting for their immediate release. I’ll post them here once they are officilall.

stay tuned!

Addeboy with the rabbit waiting for a bus. I have to give credit to the guy in the suit. Thomas. He was a true hero! spending two days in that suit and half a day naked in a snowcovered forest. cudos!

me at the first day with Raised Fist. A whole day of high-speed shooting with the Phantom. We shot at my friends Nisses’s parents house. It’s more of a mansion than a house. We smashed glass, burned a lot of fuel. Shot and blew up stuff. It turned out great!

Oscar the art director was furious that his molotovs never cought fire. One actually did but we didn’t get it on camera. I’m pretty glad cause one made a huuge explosion. Two would have brought hell.

Daniel mixing it up.

this is from the main shoot in Luleå where we spent two days doing live shoots and a bit of studio work.

Onece again it falls to Sweden.

April 22nd, 2010

Here is yet another one-take from the usa-tour with Movits and Zacke.

This onewas shot in our hotelroom i NY. Wait for the ending. A very-north-of-Sweden word “battle” in Swedish. Ypu can hear me giggle in the background.

Other than that we are done with the latest Raised Fist video for “wounds” THe premier is a bit postponed but you’ll hopefully see it within a month.

Zacke with MOVITS – Båtdrinkar

Long time no see.

April 4th, 2010

I have been in the forests of northern sweden for a while. We do have internet there I just had less time. We have shot a new video for Addeboy vs Cliff feat adam tensta and Eboi in umeå. It’s going to be the crasiest video i’ve made. A naked man and a rabbit suit. What more do you need? I’m editing now but i think the release will be within the month.

I’ll post some pics from the shot later but until then here is a making of i found from the Raised Fist video I did last fall. We are shooting another one next week.

New Realease from Zacke

March 25th, 2010

Here is another video we made during our USA tour with MOVITS! In texas we stopped to empty our latrins on the RV. While we were at it I asked the guys for a song in the dessert. So we went for a walk in to the land of sand and cactus. It turned out great. Lots and lots of energy from the guys. Once again Mr Anders Niva made to sound recording.

So enjoy!
